Amy's 14th Birthday!

On the 31st January my little sister, Amy'Rose turned 14 ! So she got an awesome cake with fireworks.

Amy did a variation of things for her birthday but the siblings and my dad went bowling for the day!

I won at my first game of bowling EVER and we had a right blast! Though we thought we we're right comedians and changed our names on the score board: 

Ginge (Kevin), Ned (Me), Spud (Amy) and Gilbert (My dad)! But it was nice to win for a change! To bad I'm not that good at bowling! 

The Last Mimzi and a Winter Wonderland!

Emily Dawn Canning

On the 5th January 2013 at 1.02am, my baby sister, Emily Dawn Canning was born. Now I bet you are all thinking 'Why is this blog called The Last Mimzi, when it's not about the film?' Well the truth behind this is, ironically my mam didn't find out that she was pregnant until the day after she watched this film. Due to the plot of this film , my mam decided to name her bump 'Mimzi' as this was the last child she was planning to have and as we were unaware of the gender of Emily, this was her nickname as my mam likes to keep it a bit of a surprise. Hence the comparison to the film. See what she did there?

Any who, She was an absolute cutie when she was born which is clearly shown in the photo here! When she was born she weighed 8lb and 11oz, our little chunky Emmy!

She's nearly a month old already! Time's really flown and its been an amazing month and a brilliant start to the year with the new addition to my siblings!

I couldn't possibly love her so much as I currently do. I'm so lucky to have a beautiful baby sister as well as my little brother, Kevin and little sister, Amy'Rose. I couldn't possibly be more lucky to have the siblings I have. And no matter the age difference between myself and Emily, I always know we're going to be just as close as I will be with my other siblings.





Billy The Snowman

Already, it's snowed so far up my leg, I can just about see my toes! Last night it snowed so much, whilst Ellis and I were on our way home at like midnight, having a mini snowball fight, whilst waking up the neighbours..oops! But I woke up this morning and my main goal was to build my first snowman!

So being the adult that I am, the 18 year old dragged out her 14 year old sister and got her to help her build her snowman! It was fun to make! Billy was our second attempt since our first attempt was pretty rubbish if I'm honest! It was more like a heap of snow! My mam came out and laughed and told me and Amy to start again, and here... Billy was born! I used my adopted hat from when we did the Lysistrata festival back in October, and a few bottle caps, stones and sticks to give him character! Tehe! Afterwards, Amy and I had a little bit of a snowball fight, which I'm still not keen on but hey ho hum!

Night at Aaron's

Saturday 19th January

I spent my day at work, which possibly could have been the worst time at work ever! Since one of my jobs is a Saturday girl at the "world famous Bury Market" it is full of tourists, the elderly, pregnant women with small children and self employed business men who are determined to get a discount with everything they buy. I work on the outside stall's at the embroidery service 'Sew What' with the legendary John Wayne as he would say "not to be confused with the dead actor". Anyway, due to it being Winter with the snow and bitter cold hitting Manchester hard, there were practically no customers at all. So I spent the whole of my day, shivering so much I got huge back ache and playing on games on the computers that like to "conk out". On the plus side I got to "conquer the world" twice on the game similar to Command and Conquer. With the occasionally phone call off Aaron and in between texts with Aaron, Sarah and Ellis. I also got to see the regular costumers that are some of the nicest people I've met; for instance an ex-para that tells me about his missions and his times at war, and his passion towards the charities he participates in to help the soldiers in Afghanistan.

After work, I travelled home to go and prepare for the nights event of sleeping at Aarons with Sarah and the lads. So after I met up with Sarah outside my house, after the confusion with my next door neighbour thinking that I was waiting for my "boyfriend" who I automatically presumed it was Ellis, since we walk home nearly everyday together, we adventured to the "shop" according to Sarah's mum but actually went to Ellis'. The reason for this is due to the fact she dislikes Sarah being out late at night, which is perfectly understandable, it is Radcliffe after all. Anyway, on the way to Ellis', Sarah and I had a bit of a catch up and talked about our daily events and news that had reoccurred over the last few days as well as other typical girly chats you have with your best friend. We reached the Calderbank Household, where Ellis was waiting for us, all ready and waiting. We waited for him whilst he was gathering up the last of his things whilst I was admiring his wallpaper and reminiscing the New Years Eve party.

We soon adventured into the snow whilst waiting for the rest of the lads to get a move on an come and meet us, so the lads and mine favourite chippy, Jubliee. Soon after, Jack met us and we went to Tesco Express to wait for Paddy and Mr Kristian.

After a laugh and a giggle with food and a nice look at the hot Tesco worker, we waited at the unavailable bus stop outside Tesco. After a banter with the lads and Sarah, Kris came and we went into the takeaway next door to Tesco where we were soon joined by Paddy. We then ventured to Asda, where Sarah and I walked ahead and a deep conversation about University. Soon after, we were then slipping and sliding down what everyone in Radcliffe calls the Asda hill. We turned around to see the lads doing the same, mainly Kris who was trying to Ice Skate down the hill, god bless him!

When we got to Asda, the lads walked around whilst Sarah and I went to get our Alcoho'pops ( as Pops would say). However, when buying them, We were I'd which was suspected on my behalf however, Sarah was too! Due to this, we couldn't get our drinks and Sarah was really peeved! Stupid Asda Lady! After finding the lads, we came up with a new plan! To Bargain Booze! So I went in by my wee self, on the phone to Aaron. He was telling me about his day at work, and we were soon taking the complete mick take of one another over the word "Carling". So after, I bought some wicked, Smirnoff and Magners which turned out to be cheaper! Take that Asda!

Soon after we were on our way to Whitefield. We bought our tickets for the tram and silly Kris bought a return to Bury instead of Whitefield. It cost him £1.30 the muppet! So after buying another ticket to the correct place, we all froze to death and got on the tram! We finally got to Whitefield, and as we wanted to go Morrison's we went to find out we couldn't because it was shut. So after a bit of a confusion with "Where is Aaron?!", I checked my phone to find out he was nearly at Whitefield. So when we joined Azza Kezza, we made our way to his, with an addition to stopping at the shop.

After a few slips and slides due to the Ice and Snow, we finally got there in one piece! After going into his house, two by two like Noahs Ark, we were soon bombarded by his cute dogs, Alife and Sonny! After a few jumps and barks, and Ellis trying to avoid their excitement, the dogs settled down and began to chill out. Kris played on Aarons Guitar which is signed by the brilliant ED SHEERAN, whilst we were all singing along with him and the lads were multi-tasking whilst playing the PlayStation/ Xbox. After a few drinks, we all played on the Xbox and fruit-ninja on Ellis' IPad. Sarah and I soon got hold of Ellis' IPad and we bombarded that with a few photos that are warped, haha! After a while playing games, and a few trips to the shops with the dogs, and people thinking that the Chihuahua; Alfie, was a Pug or a Pomeranian and Alfie nicking the waffles out of Jacks bag, we soon settled down to go to bed at about 4:30am. We watched 21 Jump Street and in Ellis' case, he also watched The Hurt Locker when everyone else fell asleep, we soon all passed out.

 Sunday 20th January

We all lazed about when we woke up, and I annoyed Sarah by waking her up like normal, but she got her own back! After about 3 hours of lazing about watching tele we all went and got ready to get home. When we first made our way home, we went to subway to get some food, but we had to o back because Ellis' forgot his USB, the muppet! Second time round we went to Morrison's which was open! Ellis and I went half's on these chocolate muffins which we soon stuffed our faces with! We walked Sarah back to the bus stop, then we all walked to the Tram Station, where Aaron found a daily tram ticket, so Jack used it and it cost him nothing! We all thanked Aaron for the great night and soon got on the met back to our homes. The three of us, walked home slipping and sliding everywhere but we soon got there! After a few chores and the revision that never happened, I fell asleep, what a great weekend!

New Year Resolutions 2013

Definition Of New Years Resolution
- setting an achievement for yourself that is completed within a time period.

Hi I'm Charlotte, but I'm referred to as Charlie because..... actually I don't know why but, I like it! Any who, this is the first blog I've ever wrote so don't be too judgemental! So I figured, since its the first few days of 2013, I thought I'd share my resolutions to the world, to prove that like every other teenage that these goals will probably not even get close to being reached. But I suppose it's the thought that counts!

Resolution 1

Like everyone i know, everyone wants to be successful in some form. So this year, I would love to pass my A2 exams at Holy Cross College in Manchester, mainly because I have my heart set out to do Theatre Studies at University. Yeah, my ambition to be an actress is like nearly impossible to succeed in, but its worth a shot right? I would love to be able to drive or at least be taking lessons at the end of this year and pass my test but yano, life of a pauper has its disadvantages.

Resolution 2

Well, taking into account i have the 6 bestest friends I could ask for and amazing family including the brand new addition, my baby sister. When or if I go to University, I want to make sure I keep in contact with everyone as much as I possibly can! As family is family and you never loose contact really,  especially mine since we're pretty close, my biggest fear is losing my friends!

The Lads

The Lads

These 5 have been through so much with me, I generally don't think I would be the person I am today without them. We've all got so many amazing memories, and I know we have plenty more in the near future. I love them to bits, but because their all lads and sheesh, we don't say it to each other often but in most cases then others most of the time we don't have too, proper cheesy I know. So from left to right;

Aaron Kenyon - Possibly the most strong-minded, bravest and one of the most remarkable people i know. After most of the things he's been through, he deserves a medal. Though he's the eldest out of our group, he's no doubt one of the childish, but what's wrong with being a big kid at heart? Bless him! I've only know him about over a year, and he knows so much about me! He's like my reassurance when it comes to my problems or if I have to make a decision about something. He brightens up everyone's day and always has a story to be told that will put a smile on your face. He's a brilliant actor and very talented at everything he loves, he's a success in the making! A truly brilliant person!

Jack Ashworth - If anyone knows me better than anyone, its Jack. He knows what I'm thinking and feeling each day, its crazy! We've been through thick and thin and our friendship gets stronger and stronger by the day! He literally has been through so much and he barely knows how much of a fantastic person he is! He's funny and can make my day brighter without trying and no matter what he says.. HE HAS A DIMPLE! - which by the way is really cute! My cute little Jackworth is fully of my deepest darkest secrets that I will probably never reveal aloud. He is very musically talented and his kind hearted, god bless him little fro!

Ellis Calderbank - He is one of the most nicest and sincere people I know with a personality that deserves every good adjective to describe him. He will generally go out of his way to please anyone and he cares about every living person. He possible is my little book of knowledge since he knows so many random facts about pretty much everything which is super adorable! He's a proppa nerd.. just kidding! He brightens up my day with his little outburst of humour and his cute little prep talks we have on our walk homes. He's generally a brilliant person inside and out and deserves the best for what he does for everyone. He's a babe and a half!

Paddy Kay - The comedian in the group he would like to think and he defiantly is the one that knows everything there is to know about Superhero's marvel/DC.. you name it, Paddy is the guy. He may seem all fun and games and is the laziest person on the whole god damn planet. But he's defiantly there in time of need. He is very caring and is very clever but just doesn't try as hard at his college work then he should but he still manages to scrap by. He lives on the easier side of life where hard work comes second. He's a loving and caring person and I'll always be thankful for what he did for me ! A truly amazing person!

Kristian Evans - The baby of the group, but he defiantly has a talent for his music! In our little group he's our walking radio with his tiny hiny, tehe! But aside his musical talents, he is also a very kind hearted, down to earth and caring person who also deserves the best in life! Like everyone, he's been through problems but he'll always put everyone else first and though he can be lazy most of the time he always pulls through with a smile on his face at what he truly believes is an achievement. He's a hyperactive child and thinks I am mad as a box of frogs but is nothing compared to this guy, sorry Kris, tehe! Thank you for nearly 4 years of being an amazing friend and being there for me! Truly a talented and amazing person!

 Sarah-Victoria Burke - Saving the best till last you could say! She's a beautiful person inside and out and deserves the absolute best! We have so many chats about pretty much anything, especially typical things that girls talk about and more! She says/said to me that I have made a huge change to her and her life but what she doesn't realise is that she had changed me as a person just as much as the lads have! She's been through so much with lads in general and so-called friends that she really does deserve the best. We have some amazing memories that are complete and utter random and our nicknames support that fact! We are literally inseparable and I couldn't ask for a better person who's so genuine to call my best friend! Like with the lads, I don't really tell her how much she means to me, but she's like my little sister due to the short amount of time that we've known each other! No matter what happens, I'll make sure she keeps her head up high through her toughest times and keeps smiling because she's not that much of a Burke at heart! I love her lots!

Resolution 3

Is to try and clear the air and attempt to fix things between people that are A. Feel complete hatred towards me due drama that got completely taken out of context and ruined a perfectly good friendship. Or B, over a period of time and/or a situation, things have become awkward and therefore lead to awkward situations when around one another. The main reason for this, is so that when I'm hopefully off to Uni and things haven't gone as planned or worse, I can at least say I tried!

Resolution 4

This is continuing from last year, and that is a to do list of things that I have not done yet that I would love to do! As my dear mam would say, "You're only a teenage once". So the list of events for this year is...

• Go on a holiday
• Visit Alton Towers and go on as many rides as possible
• Go on a plane
• Do something special on every event I celebrate, for example; Christmas, Easter
• Have an advent calendar for Christmas!!
• Make plenty of new friends when/if I go to Uni!
• Go to as many parties as I can!
• Do something that is full of adrenaline
• Start driving lessons

- and currently that's all I can possible think of at this moment in time, so I'll write a blog post about what I've achieved this year !

Resolution 5
Be more dedicated and healthy, and stop being lazy, that's it really!

Resolution 6
Be more sensible with my money and stop spending it on frikking Mcflurrys! Because that's the place to be when you have spare time at college, McDonalds!

Resolution 7
Finally, not to regret anything and enjoy and try to accomplish everything that comes into my path, and make sure i write it down on here to keep on track of everything!
